Reasons to Test
ECONOMIC
The cost of fertiliser and agrochemicals is a major expense for growers and groundsmen alike. Excessive delivery not only costs in materials but also has a negative impact on growth.
Furthermore, inaccurate spreading causes loss of yield for growers of up to £47 per hectare and creates striping in both agricultural and sports fields. For growers this results in harvesting difficulties and loss of premiums whilst for groundsmen there are significant costs associated with rectification of unsightly growth.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Excessive and inaccurate delivery of fertiliser and agrochemicals places unnecessary strain on the environment. When machinery is tested and properly calibrated to spread and spray effectively, harmful residues and run-off into watercourses are minimised or eliminated.
COMPLIANCY
Testing is compulsory under most UK assurance schemes for sprayers and strongly recommended for spreaders. It is also a requirement under the European NVZ (Nitrate Vulnerable Zones) regulations and for Cross Compliance. We supply appropriate documentation and certificates for all of our tests at no extra cost.
